Knowledge, deepening and transmission of the spiritual and mystic patrimony of Therese of Jesus and John of the Cross and their teachings.

To respond to the necessity and ever growing demands of man of today in the field of mystic. (the great German Theologist Kahrl Rahner used to say “the religious man of the future will have to be a mystic,…or not be religious at all”)

To assume the enormous possibilities and demands outlined by this century in the field of ecumenical, interreligious and intercultural dialogue.

To potentate the cultural and literary Spanish patrimony.

Academic:

To potentate the annual existing course of specialization in Therese of Jesus and John of the Cross, expandable to a biennium, in order to obtain the bachelor’s degree in Mystical Theology.

To offer the bachelor’s degree in Mystic, up to now inexistent in any part of the world.

To offer courses and a doctorate degree in Mystic.

To potentate the knowledge and the dialogue of the great mystical traditions of the world, thus creating a general professorship of compared mystic, and potenting the creation of specific professorships of each one of the great religious traditions of the world: Islam, Hebrew, Buddhism, Hinduism…in collaboration with the International Center of Mystical Studies of the City Council of Avila.

To potentate the summer university courses of Mystical Literature, which we have started with the Catholic University of Avila, and whose credits already have civil recognition.
